Tara Hot Time

Tara event this weekend synopsis"

Clan wins Tara, many clan leave bot, leave camelot.
Omnis storm corpse and Troom.
Omnis kill remaining clan.
Omni inhibit and chain kill the clan who owns loot.

RL Petitions for harrassment and variation on Kill stealing. (If you can't loot your corspe, you've been denied your rightful earnings, therefore is just as petitionable as kill stealing.)

GM decides that it is not harrassment and not KSing, therefore no action should be taken.

Obviously, the GM in this case was either: misinformed or wrong about the decision.

To prevent this problem from happening in the future, here is a proposal (excerpt from an orgmates rant).
I mostly agree that if you stray into a PvP zone then you are "consenting to PvP", which is what a GM told me. My argument is that there is a difference between a 220 sneaking up on another 220 and killing him, whether that player is ready or not doesnt matter. And several 220 players sitting around with the express intent of chain killing a 174 character just to preventing them from loot This in my eyes the first example is the same as wondering around inf and getting spanked by LoTV. You were in the wrong place at the wrong time and you paid for it.

The second is a different situation. The GM told me another player is not allowed to prevent you from getting to your loot. Now if the loot was in a pvm zone and a player trained mobs much higher than you towards you to kill you then thats unfair. I dont see too much difference between a player training high level mobs and a player training high level players. The point is the same.

One possible fix for Tara raids is to have the suppression like towers. So about 60 mins before spawn the gas drops allowing for PvP, then after the mobs die it reverts back to non-pvp. no one goes there for any other reason other than to kill tara so i dont see a downside.
Obviously, people go there to PVP, but, to clarify: by putting suppression at 75% in the corridor and Troom once tara is dead, it would eliminate the potential for loot guarding/hoarding/KSing/harrassment.

Why is this an issue?

Those who participated in corpse guarding did not have a reason for doing so other than to inhibit the clan loot owner from looting. They admitted to doing it for the reason of ruining the looting opportunity. The GM contacted was improperly informed about how to deal with the situation, and denied any wrongdoing on behalf of the omnis.

While this type of behaviour doesn't precisely follow the guide laid out under the action of Kill Stealing it has the exact same end result: the rightful owner of the corpse is unable to loot it. While harrassment has a more broad description, and may have been applicable (the person who petitioned didn't describe it as harrassment,) the GM did not do anything or provide any additional information which would have prevented this from happening in the future.

The GM didn't have a clue about tara, or the mechanics in the instance (he asked: "how did the loot owner become pvp enabled on the way to the corpse?" He was uninformed and unknowlegable and did not do or answer any question which helped the situation.

So, as a Raid leader, I am now making the request that Tara has a hot time prior to spawn, and suppression gas after death to prevent harrassment from occurring in the future. Due to the inexperience of GM's handling PVP related petitions it is important that mechanics are setup so that these situations do not occur.

Thanks!

On Behalf of Clanners: Particularly Raidleader Lordkosh and Coolerd (the rightful owner of an EoT which was petionably hoarded by an opposing faction until rot time achieved therefore causing severe harrassment of the rightful loot owner; whose subsequent petition was grievously omitted without corrective action by ill-prepared and inept FC sanctioned GM)
