Nerf fixer single and team instant evacs.

(Before you start melting down in anger, I will point out that simply nerfing fixer single and team evac isn't the only part of this suggestion.)

Yeah I know, controversial thing to ask for. Especially from someone whose main is one of the most hated professions in the game. Trust me, this is not the only profession related suggestion I have. I got several for all professions. For now, it's fixers.

1. Single instant evac makes for really lame PvP. It turns the fixer profession away from what it is or what it should/could be, into a profession that do whatever they want because at the press of a button they can just evac out. If they PvP in a city where a grid terminal is close at hand at all times, they can keep evacing and trying again as many times as they want. I know many will not agree with me on this but I personally think this is a lame attack strategy to rely on and I think it's lame trying to fight a fixer that uses this strategy. I personally think the fixer profession should rely on different things than this.

2. Team instant evac can single handedly turn NW into something that is just.. lame. Teams can run into a field, grief as many towers as they can and then instantly evac out when someone tries to attack them. Because of this the defenders need a lot more people, a lot more time to get ready, a lot more time to travel back and forth between grieved bases. I and a lot of other clanners have made use of this evac-tactic in the past and a lot of omnis are doing it back to us now. Which is obviously fair. It wasn't my idea of entertaining PvP-related gameplay when we did it and it isn't any better now that omnis do it. The reason people do it is because it's so incredibly effective. I personally think it shouldn't be this effective.

This isn't about NW balance or such though. It's more about the fixer profession. The fixers have been unique for their fixer grid, their HoT's, their grid armors, their runspeed and their grid/evac nanos.

As part of the ongoing change to various game mechanics and professions, many professions should have their abilities toned down a bit in some areas or even removed and then replaced with things that are unique to those professions without making the game itself lame in the process. Or simply buffing those professions unique abilities.

Fixers is in my mind a prime example of this. They used to be fast runners. Now everyone that gets buffed is fast. I think I heard FC talk about doing something about runspeed so that fixers become the master runners again. Regardless of FC having talked about this or not, I think this is a good move.

Let's say that FC made runspeed 80% effective for all professions except fixers. Then fixers could be the fastest runners again. This and (maybe) various other things could be done for the fixer profession as compensation for my suggestion here:

Instead of having fixers single and team evacs instant, give them a capped 10 (or whatever) sec cast-time. 10 sec is still waaaaaay faster than the 60 sec cast of doctors and traders for example. So it would still be pretty fixer-like. Those fighting a fixer 1 on 1 should have the chance to disrupt the evac if they know what they are doing and defenders should be able to stop the fixers team evac if they surprise the fixers team.

I know I will get flamed for this suggestion but I am thinking of what would be best for the game and our enjoyment of it, as I see it. As I said, I do have similar suggestions for all other professions and I will be making them eventually. Trader is obviously one of the professions that I have similar suggestions for.
